Hello ShopaHAULics, Tiffany here and I have started to dry my hair daily. Normally I would let my hair dry naturally but after getting many headaches during the winter because of it, I decided to go ahead and use a blow dryer. I have noticed that when I apply product when my hair is really wet will not work as well as damp hair. I know that most product labels will tell you to apply when damp or towel dry and I wanted to know why.
So, I took my It’s a 10 leave-in conditioner and sprayed it on wet hair and I never really noticed much of a difference, not to mention that my hair was still in tangles because of the movement in the air while drying. So, I decided to spray it on before and after while drying which ate up twice as much product. I put on a mousse from Redken and noticed that my hair became crunchy if I didn’t blow dry it, so that helped me realize what kind of product really needed heat to work. Products like leave in conditioner didn’t need so much heat because they were meant to sit and absorb. Products that are similar to mousse should be used in conjunction with a blow dryer.
I know, I should have realized this sooner but I haven’t dried my hair with a blow dryer in over two to three years and back then I wasn’t into hair products. So, if any of you every wondered, I hope this helped!
