Poaching is most commonly used when one prepares eggs. I don’t prefer eggs in the least but seeing poaching occur in the cooking process is really cool. Side note: Don’t look up poaching without adding the word “food” because there are some very sad animal images that show them being poached and that is heartbreaking… So, to put poaching simply, it is like placing each egg separately from each other and then dropping them into simmering water to cook. The egg will keep its general shape and cook and then you can remove it with a spoon.

I know that I mainly went over eggs since that is most common but this cool Poached Salmon Recipe sounds delicious! I love salmon so I may have to put this on a list of future meals to try.
